Dr. Véronique Boudreault is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Physical Activity Sciences at the Université de Sherbrooke and the holder of the Aléo Research Chair. She is a licensed psychologist specializing in sport and a Certified Mental Performance Consultant. A former cross-country skier and coach, she draws on both her athletic and coaching background to enrich her applied practice and academic research. Since 2015, she has worked extensively with high-performance athletes, providing psychological support and evidence-based mental performance strategies.

From 2021 to 2022, Dr. Boudreault served as Lead for Mental Health and Mental Performance on the High Performance Advisory Council. She has also been a mentor with Women in Sport Science (WISS) and contributed to several national initiatives, including the expert group that developed the Mental Health Strategy for High Performance Sport in Canada. In addition, she has collaborated with Sport Scientist Canada to develop educational modules, most notably on Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs).

In 2024, Dr. Boudreault was appointed as a psychologist for the Canadian delegation to the Canadian Paralympic Committee at the Paris Paralympic Games. Her research focuses on mental health and mental performance, with numerous peer-reviewed publications, academic book chapters, and successful research grants. Her applied research is conducted in close partnership with organizations such as INS Québec, national sport organizations, Game Plan, and the Canadian Olympic Committee.
